Overview

Smokey Joe's Café is a musical revue that takes us on a journey through enduring classics of rhythm and blues, pop, jazz, cabaret, and, perhaps most notably, Rock and Roll.   Nine extremely powerful performers sing the glory of the Fifties in America...one song after another.  It all started with Elvis, The Coasters, Ben E. King and Dion.   But, most of all, it started with two Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees named Leiber and Stoller.  Their hits are the trademark sound of music from the 1950s and 1960s.

The show tunes are both memorable and toe-tappin'.  Songs include Love Potion #9, Searchin’, Young Blood, Charlie Brown, Treat Me Nice, Yakety Yak, Ruby Baby, On Broadway, Poison Ivy, There Goes My Baby, I'm A Woman, Little Egypt, Spanish Harlem, Dance With Me, I’m a Woman, Kansas City, Stand By Me, Jailhouse Rock, and Hound Dog.

The Guild is delighted to have Venise Eldridge (from the national touring company of Smokey Joe's Café) serve as guest choreographer!
